Be aware of what you wear!

Director Hossein Martin Fazeli with the production company Forward International and Hey Day Independent shot the short film The T-Shirt in March of 2006.

The film was first screened at the International Festival of Short Films in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Where it was chosen by viewers as one of the 10 best films of the festival. It won first prize at the Can festival in Leicester for best screenplay and straight after that it was awarded the highest award by the jury at the Encounters festival. Up until now the most prestigious success has been at Clermont-Ferrand festival where it was awarded the Youth Jury Award. The jury justified their selection with the following quote:The T-Shirt

"We chose a film that, in our opinion, is representative of the spirit of the short film format, a film which starts with a simple idea and uses an original treatment to eventually lead to a universal meditation on the absurdity of human conflicts."

So far the film has been screened at 100 festivals around the world and it has been awarded a prize at 35 of them. Currently the film is on its way to the France where to the Short Film Festival Sequence Toulouse.

Statement of the director

"Most people associate terrorism with middle-eastern looking men. America is a country of great ethnic and racial mix. Why shouldn't a right-winger, Bushy be a middle-eastern looking man?!".
