Asen Šopov
Asen is a cameraman who always tries to find the right style to match the material and the job in hand. He enjoys working with the lighting and colour of an image and strives for a pure expression. He has shot several short feature films, documentaries, feature films (Pilgrims, The Journey to the South-West, Let’s Sing a Song, Baščovanský and Son-in-law), music videos, TV-series for WDR Koln and commercials (Panasonic, Eurotel, SEAT Cordoba, Jagermaister, Mars, Danone), plus commercials for beer, soft drinks, cosmetics, shampoos and detergents. He shot the sign-spot of the Karlovy Vary 1998 and 2000 international film festivals, and the Zlín International Children’s Film Festival. For his medium-length experimental film “KusPoKusu” (“BitbyBit”) he won a Special Mention at the 8th Coreografoelettronico Napolidanza 1998 and a Special Mention at the 35th International TV festival Golden Prague 98.
